Constellations are an amazing phenomenological process that explores how deep forces in our family systems can influence our thoughts, behaviors, and emotional experiences. It shows how we can leave the past behind while still feeling the strength and support of our family as we move forward into our lives.
One of the deepest wounds we can experience as children is a disruption in our bond with our mother. An interrupted-reaching-out-movement occurs when a child’s natural movement towards their mother is disrupted by a physical or emotional separation causing strong feelings of hurt, rejection, despair, hate, resignation, and grief.
Interruptions can be caused by a difficult birth, mother’s anxiety during pregnancy, a period of time in an incubator, being left in a hospital or a mothers hospitalization or even being left in the care of relatives or friends. Other forms of interruption that can wound a child’s soul are adoption, immigration, abuse, violence and disruptions with fathers.
In this workshop Barry will create Family Constellations with extra attention to trauma responses and methods of regulating trauma in the nervous system.
Participants will look at how trauma interrupts the soul from reaching out.
Monitoring trauma responses in the body will help them to understand the soul’s wounding and support their ability to connect with the soul in a safe and protected space:
A space that allows for a healing resolution and supports each participant in their capacity to reach out and to begin to move freely in their relationships.
