Picture

Dave lives in Norther Kentucky and began his journey into Zen in the fall of 2008. He has long been driven by a profound curiosity about the nature of life and the universe.

Listening to the Heart Sutra that first time at the Cincinnati Zen Center ignited a deep sense of connection, inspiring him to return and explore Zen practice as a path of insight and self-discovery.

Dave has been teaching meditation at the Lebanon Correctional Institution since 2014 and has organized several Saturday retreats there.

“You mustn’t worry about how your practice is, whether you are making progress or not, whether you are in anguish or not. All these things are not important. They are like clouds passing in front of the moon. You must not be attached to anything that appears in your mind.”   -
Zen Master Seung Sahn
