Please answer the call for help
Dear friends and sangha,
Our entire area was hit very hard by the recent cold snap - and is now experiencing the worst flooding KY has gone through in decades.
Our hearts are broken for everyone in the valley hit by this disaster. People, many of them friends, have lost homes, cars, campers, farm equipment, businesses..... the damage is just unfathomable and there is no one not affected.
This is on top of the challenges everyone is already facing because of Covid.
If you have ever sat a retreat at FMZC you have driven on roads (no longer) visible in the image above; you bought gas at one of the gas stations - now damaged; you have eaten at a local restaurant or shopped at a local store - now damaged; and maybe after retreat you have taken a vacation at one of the Red River Gorge cabins - now damaged as well.
It will take a long time and a lot of together effort to rebuild.
We ask for your help in support of our local community.
We created a special donation link and we will forward all your donations to where they are needed.
This is a crucial moment and people need help fast.
Please give whatever you can, every small amount helps and is welcome!
