Retreat schedule 2020
Because of the pandemic we changed our retreat formats and moved all retreats online, using the Zoom platform.
Until we can safely open to in-person retreats again we will be offering two online formats:
1. Regular Retreat
For students at Furnace Mountain Zen Center or one of our affiliate centers, and for Zen students with an established practice.
The retreat begins Friday evening at 7:00pm ET and ends Sunday at noon.
They are not suitable for beginners and require a quiet and relatively undisturbed space for you to participate.
We will follow the in-person retreat schedule including chanting practice in the morning & evening, daily dharma talks and interview practice with ZM Dae Gak in a Zoom breakout-room.
Suggested minimum donation for this format is $100.
Please give more if you can, so that we can continue to offer scholarships for those with limited financial means.
Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
There is an application & registration process - please apply here.
For any additional questions please contact our office.
2. Day-Long-Retreat
Open to anyone interested. Preregistration required, spaces are limited to 100 participants.
The day-long retreats are a cooperation of all affiliated centers and teachers. There will be four 2-hour practice blocks throughout the day, with different teachers offering a dharma talk. Interviews won't be available.
We offer the day long retreats for free, but encourage you to make a donation to Furnace Mountain Zen Center.
The registration link for the day-long retreats will be posted closer to the event, please check back here or send an email if you are not yet on our mailing list.
