Halcyon Learned - Yong Song
​

Yong Song, “Dragon Roar” began practicing Zen in college with Phillip Kapleau, and after graduation moved to Rochester NY in 1971 where she studied at the Rochester Zen Center for several years.  

After moving to Houston, Texas, she continued practicing Zen with the Houston Southwest Zen Academy meditation group that Craig Learned co-founded in 1988 and led until their move to the North Carolina mountains above Asheville, North Carolina in 2016. 

​Halcyon began studying with Zen Master Dae Gak in 2006 and received Inka from him in 2016.
